cqen.list Weekly Digest Subject: Mail Routing Subject: Deming in police work Subject: Re: Deming in police work Subject: missing article Subject: Re: missing article ---------------------------------------- Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Date: Wed, 12 Jul 1995 11:05:50 -0400 From: kimbler@ces.clemson.edu (D. L. Kimbler) Subject: Mail Routing There have been a few cases of mis-routed mail to this list, and it appears that a few posts and subscription requests have been routed through Tom Glenn's mail hub at tqm.permanet.org. This is a natural mistake, since the lists were operated from there until recently. Here are a few tips that should make things run more smoothly. 1. All subscribe, unsubscribe, and archive requests should be sent to cqen.list-request@deming.ces.clemson.edu; cqen.list@deming.ces.clemson.edu is for posting to the list only. For digest subscribers, the admin address is cqen.list-d-request@deming.ces.clemson.edu. 2. If you have been posting or trying to subscribe/unsubscribe through tqm.permanet.org, please send your messages direct to the the list posting or admin address. Return mail back through permanet.org does not work with these lists, unless it is going to an account housed at permanet.org only. 3. Don't worry about the change to deming.ces.clemson.edu. We have had some name changes here to reflect the fact that this domain is now in a college of engineering and science, rather than just engineering. Both deming.eng.clemson.edu and deming.ces.clemson.edu should work, but we are moving to deming.ces.clemson.edu internally for consistency. 4. If you have problems with posting, or admin messages, send me mail at kimbler@ces.clemson.edu Del Kimbler Listmaster at deming.ces.clemson.edu ---------------------------------------- From: sta010@aberdeen.ac.uk Date: Fri, 14 Jul 95 15:50:21 BST Subject: Deming in police work Has anyone on this list had any experience of introducing Deming ideas to a police force? I am involved with the project of setting up a network to share such ideas between police forces in the UK. This is at a very early stage, but it would be helpful to hear from anyone who can warn of likely difficulties or, alternatively, approaches which have worked elsewhere. I have heard, of course, of the work of the police in Madison Wisconsin. We have gone through a few training sessions with them but nothing too specific with the operations of a Police force. I do know that Scottsdale, Arizona has done some work in this area and if you could connect with someone there you might get some good input. ---------------------------------------- Date: Sun, 16 Jul 95 12:41:14 EDT From: uv-part@oden.se Subject: missing article The article Rebuilding America's Sense of Community, by John Gardner, is not avalable on your server although its supposed to be there.
